Dürer at the Boston MFA

Just got back from a field trip Thursday to see the Boston Museum of Fine arts. They have a wonderful Albrecht Dürer show. 45 etchings and wood block prints to see!!! He is considered the master of that media for his time, and these are wonderful examples of line used in drawings. Notice how the lines in the sky are going in a different direction from the clouds and figures. The link here lets you see the images in great detail. Check it out!

CLAY WITH PERSONALITY

Let's get into clay! 

We are going to build clay containers with lids, using pinch, coil and slab construction techniques. Your challenge is to use SHAPE, TEXTURE and GESTURE to give the clay some personality!
